The questions our guests ask most often. If something is missing: we are a small operation and answer every enquiry ourselves.

How do I find the chalets?

Please enter “Tschengla 106, 6707 Bürserberg” into your navigation system; older devices take you to a different property under this address. Coming off the motorway, take the Brand exit, which is the direct way up the mountain. The Bürs exit is only worth taking if you want to shop or refuel on the way.

When can I arrive, when do I have to leave?

Arrival from 4 p.m., departure by 10 a.m. If nobody is arriving after you, a later departure is fine, on Sundays usually until 12 noon. Just ask and we will let you know shortly beforehand.

How do we get into the chalet?

Through a keypad beside the door, using a numeric code we send you in advance. There is no reception; Michael is reachable by phone if anything is unclear.

Is it possible without a car?

The nearest railway station is Bludenz, about 15 minutes away by car or taxi. Up on the plateau a car is an advantage, but not essential.

How many people do the chalets sleep?

Chalet 1 up to eight people, Chalet 2 four, Chalet 3 six. The three chalets stand side by side, which is practical for larger groups travelling together.

Does every chalet have its own sauna?

Yes. Each of the three chalets has its own sauna with a relaxation area, not shared and with no booking required.

What is included in the price?

Electricity, water, heating, firewood, Wi-Fi, the carport space and the charging point for electric vehicles. Bed linen, towels and bathrobes as well. Charged separately are the final cleaning per chalet, with the amounts on the prices page, and the municipal visitor’s tax from the age of 14. You will see both in the offer before you book.

Can I charge an electric car?

Yes, there is a wallbox with two different connectors at the chalets. The electricity is included in the price.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs and cats are welcome by arrangement. We charge a fee for the additional cleaning.

How far is the nearest lift?

Three minutes by car to the valley station of the Loischkopfbahn, which has been running as a ten-person gondola since December 2025. The chalets are on the Tschengla plateau above Bürserberg.

Where can I shop?

There is a small supermarket at the lift station and a bakery towards Bürserberg. The Dorflädele in Bürserberg is on the way up, but closes for a long lunch break and all day Sunday. For a big shop: the Interspar at the Zimbapark in Bürs, down in the valley. If you arrive on a Sunday, the SPAR Dorfladen in Brand is the only shop in the region that opens.

Where can we eat out?

The Unicorn restaurant is at the lift station, so the same short distance as to the gondola and at almost the same altitude; it is an easy walk too. It is the only place up here open every evening all year round. There are also the Rufana Alp, the Burtschahof, the Berggasthaus Zimba and the Alpe Rona with its own dairy on the plateau; the Fuchsbau lies higher up the mountain, at the middle station of the gondola at about 1,400 metres. All of them have closing days, and some shut completely between the seasons. Down in the valley the choice is wider, including the Gufer 55 with two toques in the Gault&Millau.

How does booking work?

You book directly with us through this website. Twenty-five per cent of the amount is due within seven days of booking, the remainder fourteen days before arrival.

Can I cancel free of charge?

Up to two months before arrival, yes; the full amount is then refunded.
